Marilyn and John were married on 24th March 2009 at Shendish Manor near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. They have been together for 21 years and so I wish them many more years of happiness. Although there were doubts about the weather it turned out to be a gloriuos day. They chose me to shoot their wedding photography through a recommendation from their close friends Ron and Sue, whose wedding I photographed the previous March in Chenies Buckinghamshire.

Church – St Johns the Baptiste Church, Purley, Surrey
Reception Venue – Selsdon Park Hotel, South Croyden
I shot James and Jo’s wedding photography in London and this was my second London wedding of the year so far. Jo had planned some fabulous details for her wedding including the use of a vintage cream VW beetle and a camper van. It was a beautiful spring day and Jo looked stunning in her beautiful wedding dress (made in the space of two days as her original one was destroyed on the thursday before the wedding). James was in full military uniform and also looked amazing. I am always so impressed by how shiny they get their boots.

A couple of weeks ago I shot wedding photography for Gary and Jane at Parkstead House. A lovely wedding based in London – and as anyone who has driven in London knows you can never rely on the traffic
. So anyway things ended up a little late but I truly think everything went perfectly. I have picked out some of my favourite images which I feel really captured the spirit of Gary and Jane’s wedding day.

Cheeky!

Kate and Sam were married at Knebworth Barns, Knebworth House, Hertfordshire in early April. They were married by civil ceremony a day or two before and so had a beautiful wedding blessing with all their friends and family to celebrate. Many of their close friends had flown in from all over the world to be with them on this special occasion. I loved shooting their wedding photography, they had so much planned and their were so many details to photograph. Friends baked lots of cupcakes for their wedding cake and the floral arrangements (also made by friends) were just amazing. All through this wedding I shot natural guest images but Sam’s best man kept catching me out!

I recently submitted some wedding photography to Your Herts & Beds Wedding Magazine. I was thrilled when the Editor Lisa phoned to inform me that not only did I have the front cover but also a real wedding feature inside the magazine. The real wedding was from August 2008 when I photographed the wedding of Lizzie and Richard at Redcoats Farmhouse in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. I’m a bit late in blogging this and so the magazine is no longer on the shop shelves, but have a look at the images below.

Scott and Kanta had a Hare Krishna wedding ceremony at Bhaktivedana Manor in Aldenham, near Watford, Hertfordshire. I was fortunate enough to shoot their wedding photography.
This was such a great wedding to photograph. One of my favourites definitely because it was full of colour and interesting details. Lots to photograph! I try to shoot everything in natural light because I believe it preserves the true ambience of the wedding. I find flash can be a real atmospere killer. I photographed some fantastic imagery of the fire and so preserved the warmth of this light on the surroundings.

Church: Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
Reception: Bushey Hall Golf Club, Bushey, Hertfordshire.
Neil and Laura held their wedding on a cold but clear October day. Laura looked gorgeous in her wedding dress. There were many really emotional moments throughout the day but especially during the speeches. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the building after Neil made his speech, letting everyone know just how precious Laura is to him.

Ceremony: High Wycombe Registy Office in Buckinghamshire
Reception: Adams Park, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Jane and Tomasz had a lovely intimate wedding in bucks. I have shot the photography for many weddings and I can honestly say that I think Tomasz is the most nervous Groom I have ever come across.
